Our kindergarten offers 20 hours of free ECE care, and our dedicated toddler and baby daycare centres ensure every child in our care benefits from a safe, nurturing environment, personalised attention, and high-quality early learning experiences that support their growth and development.
Run by a dedicated team of kaiako (teachers), our Henderson-based early learning centre is the perfect place for your tamariki (children) when you can't be looking after them. We provide an enriching, safe, and inclusive environment that fosters children’s growth, development, and well-being. With a focus on age-appropriate learning, special needs support, nurturing care and early learning, ensuring that each child thrives in our thoughtfully designed facility.
We provide daycare for babies, infants and pre-schoolers at the centre as well as after-school and holiday programmes for school kids.

Passionate teaching team
Our centre has teacher to child ratios above Ministry minimum levels to ensure we can give adequate attention to all our children. We have qualified teachers and our passionate team stays updated with regulations, the latest teaching developments and first aid qualifications.
Age-appropriate resources for development
We have great levels of resources supporting age-appropriate development in literacy, numeracy and
social development. The centre is also designed to support different ages with furniture in a range of sizes and separate sleeping areas for babies, infants and toddlers.
Anjum Syeda - Centre Director
My journey in education began in Dubai, where I worked as a teacher in a British Curriculum primary school for 10 years. During this time, I developed a deep passion for teaching and supporting children in their learning, development and wellbeing. I began my teaching journey with kindergarten-aged children, never imagining that early childhood education would become such an important part of my life. In 2002, my family and I moved to New Zealand, which has proudly become our home. I continued my career in education, initially working in primary schools before spending a further 10 years as a relieving teacher across different early childhood centres. This experience provided me with the opportunity to work alongside many different teaching teams, children and families. It also gave me a valuable understanding of the New Zealand early childhood sector, Te Whāriki, and the unique ways children learn and develop in Aotearoa New Zealand. In 2012, I was given the opportunity to take the next step in my journey and establish my own early learning centre. This marked the beginning of Mini Miracles Educare.
Barbara Reneti - Centre Manager
Hi, I'm Barbara and I run the Mini Miracles Henderson centre.
I have been an early childhood teacher for nearly 20 years. I always enjoyed being around young children and taking care of my nephews, and my sister, herself a qualified ECE teacher, suggested I look at teaching as a career change. I was volunteering at a centre when a lecturer from Te Tari Puna Ora gave a presentation about getting more Pasifika teachers into early childhood teaching to help extend the Samoan language in ECE. That inspired me to start studying and I have a Diploma in Education - ECE. Over the years I have worked in a Samoan Language centre and a larger early childhood centre where I worked my way up to head teacher and then assistant manager. I moved to Mini Miracles as the centre manager in 2021.

I've been working in early childhood education for two years, primarily at the reception and as a reliever here at Mini Miracles Educare. I also have a Pastoral Diploma in Ministry and I'm a mother and a grandmother.
I believe that the early years are crucial for a child’s development, and I wanted to be a part of shaping their future by providing them with a strong foundation - understanding their backgrounds, ensuring they feel valued and promoting diversity and inclusion in our activities and interactions.
Melanie Raye Purkiss - Curriculum Manager/Centre 2IC/Tipu (2-3 years) Qualified Teacher
Melanie is a dual-national American New Zealander, and she has been teaching early childhood for nearly 14 years- working throughout her studies, then becoming a qualified teacher, a head teacher, and now a Curriculum Manager/Centre 2IC. Melanie started at Mini Miracles Educare at the end of July 2026. She has a passion for intentional teaching, high quality care, te reo me nga tikanga Maori, and mentoring other teachers.

We are open from 7am to 6pm to make it easier for parents to drop off and pick up around work hours.
Of course. We welcome visits from families before they enrol. Get in touch to arrange a visit.
Yes. All our food is made on site so we can discuss any dietary requirements with you and adjust the menu for your child accordingly. Our meals are also prepared according to Halal practices.
We have a daily cleaning service. Our teachers also encourage the children to value the centre and keep the centre clean and tidy.
